Lou Hoover Greets Children at the White House Photograph, March 4, 1929 - March 4, 1933

First Lady Lou Henry Hoover opened the doors of The White House to greet children selling May baskets. The baskets were filled with flowers, and the sale of the baskets helped feed the children. This photograph was featured on page 166 of the Fall 1977 issue of The Key.
