Chapter Letters: Chi - Minnesota University, March 1887

Chi has determined a new course for literary work. They read about Hawthorne's life and the Scarlet Letter, then dedicated an entire meeting to the discussion of Hawthorne. The pattern has been continued with other authors. Chi has been joined by visitors from other chapters, and much enjoyed their company. They report that although Phi Delta Theta initiated a women into their fraternity on campus, the experiment has been short-lived and Phi Delta Theta is a strictly male organization once again. One Chi member has been married to a Chi Psi brother.
