Chapter Letters: Upsilon - Northwestern University, December 1886

Upsilon opened the school year with eight members, and two transfers and three initiates over the term have increased their number to 13. Upsilon's literary work this term will consist of debates, essays, and selections on various literary and political topics, as well as Upsilon's cusom of reading the constitution and convention minutes once each month. On September 27, the chapter was entertained at the home of May Van Benschoten and enjoyed impromptu charades. Upsilon celebrated her 16th anniversary with an initiation, and proudly reports that Upsilon chapter housing has been much improved by new curtains, new pictures, and an organ.
