[Beta] Zeta has 15 active members, 6 seniors, and 8 initiates from this year. Iowa University has 412 students and 7 fraternities. This year's literary work included readings from The Century and Harper's magazines, and of short stories from Poe and Hawthorne. Four chapter members were commencement speakers and appeared on the high honor roll. Four other [Beta] Zeta seniors were given diplomas by the Hesperian Literary Society on Commencement Day, and one of the songs played at commencement was also written by a [Beta] Zeta. One member was married a day after commencement.
