Florence Roth Passes Away


Florence Burton Roth, 12th grand president of Kappa Kappa Gamma, passed away on May 29, 1971. Mrs. Roth was elected grand secretary in 1908, became grand president in 1910, and also served as chairman of the National Panhellenic Congress. At the conclusion of her term, she accepted the office of historian and spent 12 years writing The History of Kappa Kappa Gamma Fraternity 1870-1930. Former Fraternity President Frances Fatout Alexander writes that Florence had a "warm, loving personality and [a] marvelous sense of humor."
