Peggy Spain McDonald received two honors in late 1972. First, she was chosen Birmingham, Alabama's Woman of the Year. Second, she was one of three persons presented with a special plaque by Operation New Birmingham for contributions to the progress of the city. Constance Beauvais Sincock paints watercolors of historic city landmarks from which boxes of attractive note paper are printed and sold by The Hartford Alumnae Association for fraternity scholarships and rehabilitation projects.
