Spotlight on Kappa Artists: Helen Mary Turner


Helen Mary Turner is a painter and a sculptor with a B.A and an M.S in art an education from Arkansas. In 1965-66 she was a member of the teaching corps to Sierra Leone, West Africa. She received a Fulbright Teacher Grand in 1960-61, which she used to teach art in the Netherlands. In the Summer of 1970 she received a grant to travel to India for eight weeks of study. Turner teaches at Maple Woods Community College, and has enjoyed a career as a commercial artist.
