Distinguished Kappas Recognized


Five outstanding Kappas were selected for the Centennial year Achievement Awards, three of whom were able to travel to the 1970 National Convention to receive their awards. The five award recipients include: Margaret Dickenson Falley, a leading American authority on genealogical research in Ireland; Mary Elizabeth Hendricks, past president of the Indianapolis chapter of Theta Sigma Phi and president of the Martinsville, Indiana Alumnae Club; Mareta N. West, the first women astrobiologist hired by the United States Geological Survey; Barbara Hall Feldon, television and film actress of the television series "Get Smart;" and Dr. F. Marguerite Hill, one of Canada's most eminent female physicians and the first woman ever appointed to the board of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
