The Names in the News section features Margret Easton Seney who was primarily responsible for the first National YWCA championship meet in Toledo, Ohio. It also features Mary Brinkerhoff, who received the 1969 Dallas Hospital Council Award, Linda Eckhard, a soloist with the Gregg Smith Singers, and Jeanette Hafner Hahner, who received the Award of Merit from the Walla Walla, Washington Chamber of Commerce. Other notable names in the news include are a number of Mu chapter alumnae and Suzanni Midelse Levaggi, who was named one of the 10 best dressed women in the San Francisco Bay Area.
