Theta has continued the literary work mentioned in the December 1885 letter. Theta has also enjoyed a banquet by a local fraternity named Beta Phi, and reports that Sigma Nu has opened a new chapter at Missouri University. Now the University has four men's fraternities and only one ladies' fraternities. Theta also enjoyed the controversy between the Key and the Phi Delta Theta Scroll, because a reporter to the Scroll on campus began an argument with a Kappa, but was soon overcome by another five Kappas who came to her aid. Theta also reports the initiation of two new members and a marriage.
