Orate, Fratres


This poem is comprised of alternate rhyme scheme couplets. It urges mankind, which the author refers to as "my brothers," to push forward with "heroic strength" and labor in "the advancement of the race." The poem is decidedly Christian in theme, and each stanza begins with a call to prayer.
