Kappa Chapter now numbers 14, and their meetings are well-attended. On Christmas Eve the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity at Hillsdale College hosted an elegant reception and banquet for the Kappa girls at Smith's Hotel. However, anti-fraternity sentiment resulted in the ranks of the Phis being "appreciably diminished" as a result of the banquet, and Kappa also had to initiate new members to keep up their numbers.
