An explanation of the title of the paper, the Golden Key. It is a reference to the poem "Locksley Hall" by Alfred, Lord Tennyson. It is taken from the line, "every door is baar'd with gold, and opens but to a golden keys," which uses gold as a metaphor for wealth, power, and deficient merit. However, the writers of the Golden Key have re-interpreted this phrase using gold as a metaphor for that which is good: "patience, industry, perseverance and identity."
