Los Angeles Service Women's Center Scrapbook, c. 1943-1946


This scrapbook includes letters, photographs, greeting cards, postcards, and clippings highlighting the activities at the Los Angeles Service Women's Center during World War II. The center was located in the Hayward Hotel and included access to the hotel's penthouse as one of it's amenities. The first two pages of the scrapbook feature the names of service women who visited the center.

This scrapbook has a worn, embossed, black cover featuring an image of two figures wearing traditional Dutch costume and "Scrap Book" written in gold. The scrapbook is bound together with a gold string laced through the spine.
