Minnie Stewart and Family Scrapbook, 1876-1950


The first part of this scrapbook, likely created by Founder Minnie Stewart Nelson Field, contains newspaper and magazine clippings on topics of interest to her, such as poetry and womanhood. The second part of the book, perhaps maintained by later members of the Stewart family, documents the lives and deaths of family members with newspaper clippings dating up to 1950.

Dried glue has seeped through many of the newspaper clippings in this scrapbook. White acid-free paper has been placed between its pages.

Physical Description

This 114-page scrapbook features worn covers with a red and blue scalloped design. Black binding tape has been placed on the spine and corners.
