Virginia C. Gildersleeve was dean of Barnard College and the only female delegate from the U.S. to the 1945 conference to draft charter for the U.N. She received the Alumnae Achievement Award in 1946. This photograph was featured on page 66 of the Fall 1975 history issue of The Key.
