Karemsak, Sessions, Foreign Operations Administration Worker, with Separated Siamese Twins Photograph, 1955

Nurse Jirapon Karemsak greets Frances Cox Sessions and a Foreign Operations Administration worker. Sessions and the FOA worker are holding recently separated siamese twins Napit and Prissana Polpinyo. Sessions was the wife of the director for Thailand of the U.S. FOA, and she helped arrange to have Napit and Prissana sent to Chicago for examination and possible surgery. The girls were separated on March 29, 1955. This photograph was featured on page 210 of the October 1955 issue of The Key.
