Gamma Mu Chapter House Side View Photograph, c. 1944


This Tudor-style house at 13th Street and Van Buren was built in 1928 by the architecture firm Thomas and Mercer. Gamma Mu Chapter moved into the house in 1935, and it became known as the "Kappa Castle." The chapter ceremoniously burned their mortgage on March 23, 1944. This photograph was featured on page 311 of the December 1944 issue of The Key.
