Historical Pageant Participants Representing 1884-1899 Photograph, July 13, 1952


Unidentified historical pageant participants wear gowns reminiscent of the period when her chapter was founded. Of particular significance are the representatives from Sigma, wearing the famous blue gown worn by former Grand President Charlotte Barrell Ware at the 1888 National Convention and again at the 1930 National Convention, and Beta Delta, wearing a gown worn by former Grand President Emily Bright Burnham while in office. This photograph was featured on page 154 of the Spring 1957 issue of The Key. This photograph was featured on page 173 of the October 1952 issue of The Key.
