This 16-page scrapbook created by Helen Read contains newspaper clippings and ephemera from her freshman year at Illinois Wesleyan University, including her initiation into Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma and numerous social events. There are also several loose items, including photographs and dance cards, from the following years. The scrapbook features an outer covering of black suede with the letters KKG pasted on the front. The covers of the book itself are brown, with the words "Memory Book" embossed on gold on the front, and the pages are tied together with a brown cord.
